Re: Rear Fusebox Pinouts
Hi Ewen and Aidan, Thank you both for taking the time to reply. This all started with the simple job of fitting a cigar lighter so that I could use the satnav today. Since raising the question I have since looked through Bentley as well as Haynes and the conclusions are as follows. Seems to me that ...

Re: Rear Fusebox Pinouts
Hi Ewan,
My van is a an 86, 1.9 Diesel.
Looks like Fuse 3 for me, but am amazed that the spades on the rear are not designated.
Thanks for your help.
Regards
Dave

Re: Rear Fusebox Pinouts
Hi Ewan,
Had seen these in Bentley.
Which left ? and what does the X refer to ? I would have thought that some of the pins related to spare fuse positions, am I wrong about this ?
Regards and thanks for help so far

Rear Fusebox Pinouts
Hi, Have just been looking for a diagram that describes what the spade connectors on the rear of the fusebox refer to. I am after a 12 volt positive for a cigarette lighter. There would appear to be some spare fuses and reference to the Wiki tells me that G2 and G5 are ignition switched and g8 are d...

Hi, Re -"I am pouring petrol in as there is not enough power on turn over to the fill the carbs from the fuel pump. This is just to get it going..." You should make sure that you have a well charged battery so that that the engine is able to compress the petrol / air mixture such that it c...

Re: 1.6D being changed for 1Y
Hi All, The 1Y is in. In fitting new levers onto the injection pump I have lost the initial setting of the throttle lever on its splined shaft. I notice that the small shaft has a line scribed on its end, and there are other lines on the plate it runs through. Anyone know how this is initially set u...

Re: Fuel filter
Hi, You are probably having a cuppa. I have to visit my local scrap yard so have to make a move, but before I do, some further thoughts. You will gather then that there should be a factory fitted type fuel filter holder mounted on to the vehicle, which has a filter with it. If you can get the filter...

Re: Fuel filter
Hi, Taking all the diesels that I have had experience with as examples you would expect a cartridge type of filter and mounting to be fitted in the main fuel line typically in the engine compartment. This is quite important not only to trap particles but to trap water, and to drain this off every no...

Re: Engine removel quick question
Hi, Have braved the cold for you. My T25 is still in a raised position after having the engine removed some days ago. I have ramps which are adjustable in height, and bottem of rear tyres are about 10" off the ground This makes the bottom of the back of the van bodywork about 2ft above the grou...

Re: split charge fuse keeps melting
Hi,
As a final comment - if the Leisure battery is very low in voltage and 7 Volts is pretty dead.
Under these circumstances a large current would flow into the leisure battery and through the fuse in an
attempt to recharge it. Ask the man to test the leisure battery for you.
Regards

Re: split charge fuse keeps melting
Hi, The split charge relay should be only making a connection between the positive output of the alternator and the positive terminal of the leisure battery when your ignition switch is on. This allows the leisure battery to charge as the vehicle battery charges. When the ignition is switched off, t...

Re: 1.6D being changed for 1Y
Hi, Thanks for that Ringo. Will have a word with Simon about gaskets tomorrow, and if nothing on the shelf shall make them myself. Interested to hear what you did with the temperature sensor. I shall do something similar. Yes that sump gasket. Strangely enough I have just notice that in Bentley they...
