(also on...

Re: catalogue of disasters
There are 2 brackets at the bottom of the rad that hold it in place
It's not too bad of a job to replace, as i've done mine recently and it will come out without jacking the vehicle up

Rusty seams - easy fix
Hi Photo's of some typical rust showing on my van http://i43.photobucket.com/albums/e385/RSVSean/VW%20T25/DSCI0003.jpg http://i43.photobucket.com/albums/e385/RSVSean/VW%20T25/DSCI0014.jpg So do you reckon these would be an easy fix with some vactan, or is going to need more serious work Thanks Sean

Re: Cribbs Causeway overnight parking?
Well I stopped overnight in ASDA at cribbs causeway, last year on the way to Glasto
Yeah, there were a couple of boy racers for a short time, but they buggered off soon enough and we had a good nights kip with no hassles
Wouldn't hesitate to stop there again

Re: Blown Rad
Thanks James
Will find out when the Rad's out
Noticed that GSF list the same Rad for several models http://secure.gsfcarparts.com/shop/results.asp, but Wiki states there are two types
Anyone clarify this

Need some help please Been out tonight to fill up (LPG). No problems on the way up to the station, but on the way back it starts to play up. Was like someone turning a fuel switch on and off, power then none, power then none. Thought it might have been some dodgy LPG, so switched to petrol. Ran a bi...

Re: Rubbing noise from rear wheel
With a torque loading of 500Nm's, and a wacking big split pin, it shouldn't work loose at all
As I have learnt, if it does get loose, then there is an underlying problem that needs sorting
With the distance you are travelling, get the bearings replaced

Still running with the Idle Air Control valve disconnected, but doesn't appear to be causing me any problems like this

Re: Rubbing noise from rear wheel
Well had a real shock when I jacked it up
Wheel nuts where tight but hub was loose
Checked everything out and no damage done, so retightened hub nut and all is well
Thanks again for the replies
