Check the 240volt cartridge heater on the the back of the fridge.

I have an oil leak where the dipstick tube fits into the block.Dose this just pull out of the block to replace the seal below or is it more indepth?

You need someone to help you lever the rear of the the pump in the relavent direction untill pulleys are alined. When alinement is correct nip it up & recheck with straight edge, repeat if needed. It will also help if you losen the injector pipes.

Mine was doing the same thing. The injection pump was out of line with the other pulleys. Worth checking.

TYRE CHOICE
Can anyone recommend a good tyre choice for my T25 1.6 td Westy? I have maxmiler tyres fitted to the front and I am looking to change them as I not happy with there grip in the wet. The van is on standard steel rims.

Try checking the fuse in the controll unit, mine would only blow cold air when this had blown.

A new belt & tensioner were fitted at the time of rebuild. The old belt had shown no signs of wearing in this way & had done 20,000 KM. The garage have agreed to investigate this problem after seeing it yesterday morning, but not untill a week on Tuesday & have told me not to drive it un...

Cambelt wear
Anyone had any problems with cambelt wearing on the side.
It was replaced 1500 miles ago after vw specialist rebuild but seams to be wearing alot on the side that faces you after you remove the cover.
Any sugestions.

I have got my van back on saturday after an engine rebuild & newhead from local vw specialist & there appears to be dark grey sealant that has been squeezed out from the surface between the head gasket & the block but not the between the gasket & the head. I did not think any sealant...

Has anyone used AW engineering for a reconditioned engine i am thinking of buying one from them? Then have my local vw specialist fit it for me. Any other recommendations appreciated The engine I need is 1.6 JX.
