Re: Battery Voltage display

That'll do it. On-off-on switch if you'll be checking two batteries. Or two LCD panels... I've got a panel and switch in the heater duct panel in front of the gear lever. Think there are vids on YouBoob.

Eberspacher B2L short

First post for quite a while. Eber blew fuse at fusebox when restarting when the temp dropped a couple of weeks ago. Took it off, had a look round, tested the thermal switches, all ok. Put it back together and test fired off the van, all good, ran as it should. It even needed less from the battery t...

Re: westy fridge not working on electric hook-up

The relay's for the 12V, take it you have the early RM182? Simple thing to check if electric side's not great, slide the cover and insulation for the heater upwards and check the elements are correctly seated and well screwed in this makes a huge difference. You can check if the mains element is wor...

Re: Westy poptop luggage rack seal

I fitted the JK one years ago, it was rubbish. Allows air under the rack at any speed causing horrible wind noise. It is nowhere near the right profile. I had one from Herr Günzl and it is perfect though a little awkward to get round the corners. It is about 50 Euros. I expect Brickwerks to have the...

Demodified!

Van came back yesterday from having a respray. Gone from weird and wacky back to the original bamboo yellow. Doesn't look like our van anymore... But! Have ideas for some wacky wraps in the New Year... Will put some pics up soon...

Re: Fitting New Devon roof Canvas

You're welcome. They should do a good job. Very good with bodywork and trim. Try to get to Tatton Park next week, there's usually lots of traders there, both new and secondhand. Can get some good contacts, as you WILL need things and probably get either the pimping or camping bug... or both... These...

Re: leisure battery

Hi! I have an 85Ah battery next to the charger under the rnr. Just had a 110Ah wired in as the good lady is addicted to TV. The 85 fits a treat and still leaves lots of room. The 110 now means there's just room for a Haynes manual and a socket set... Also spoke to Ade at Shropshire Batteries. Tried ...

Hi! Actually in Trevor. Don't think I recognise your van, but probably waved at you at some time. Kids might know, they are very funbox (don't like wedge or brick but can't think of a better name) orientated. Also use Steve Shaw.

Thanks for that! There is no replacement for experience and wisdom! Forewarned is forearmed. Was toss up for high top but 50mm lower, the van fits nicely in the garage! Thanks again.

Re: Fitting New Devon roof Canvas

Hi! I did the canvas on my Westy last year and it wasn't difficult. Wish I'd redone the flock at the same time though. Are you going to any shows in the next couple of weeks as I'll gladly have a look at it with you and give any tips I can. I'll be at Summerfest and Tatton Park, had a quote for fitt...

Pop top canvas cleaning/ proofing

Evening all. Does anyone use any product to clean their canvas? Or has anyone used something to waterproof it? I spoke to a chap who said the only stuff to clean it with is water and that they are ready proofed and should not be interfered with. Just wondering, what with all the sprays available for...

Re: Off across europe for the summer! itinery ideas

Bit predictable perhaps, but how about passing through Wolfsburg and Autostadt? Then stroll along Porschestrasse for Kaffee und Kuchen at Cadera or a cruise on the Mittelland Kanal. Might be Sommerfest too. No, I don't work for the Niedersachsen tourist board...
