Mines a CU and will easily do 80 (even if it does take a while to get there, but then why rush)

Could be your carbs are not opening up enough. Check for any slack in accelerator cable and adjust if required.

If the carbs need cleaning - use some carb cleaner easily available from local motor shop

If you mean heater control pods - then just campers do them at £36 each part number - J10110 and J10111

Prior to starter motor going the van always started first time. Have taken a look at the gearbox bush currently in and from what I can see it appears to be intact and not chewed up. Do you have to replace the bush when putting on a new starter motor? If you don't what are the consequences? Cheers Sh...

Earthing strap removed, cleaned and replaced - including contacts to body.

Did not replace gearbox bush - what is this and where does it go?

Had starter motor checked by my local mechanic - he informs me that it was not working correctly - may have been supplied a dodgy starter.
