Just done both sides on my van, it's not easy and I did it with the engine out, which definately made life easier. At the same time I've done a complete engine over haul. But beware once you start there is no turning back! So far as well as all the gaskets etc I've had to replace, 2 exhaust values 1...

No sealant just the seals as directed by the manual. There are no leaks on the head what so ever other than the No 1 barrel filling with water (above the piston not below) as there is no water in the sump. The other 3 piston are find! would that work and if so for how long?

Someone also told me that they can be welded and skimmed for about £30?

Does anyone know anything about either of these options, both sound a bit dodgey to me!
