Re: 1.9 DG Water Boxer, Need Part Number
They are obsolete from VW and so (untill I can get some made) you'll have to post a wanted add in the Wanted Forum and hope a breaker has one available. Sorry, Ian. Not the news I wanted to hear but at least I know where I stand. Bit of a nightmare that I have a brand new engine with 95% new parts ...

Re: 1.9 DG Water Boxer, Need Part Number
Many thanks for the diagram Rob, the part in question is no 42 by the looks. Have you got the page that refers to that part number?

1.9 DG Water Boxer, Need Part Number
Ive got a split plastic house mount and I can't for the life of me find a replacement. The part in question is on right side of the pulley end of the engine. It mounts near the water flange and exhaust manifold and is a plastic elbow that bolts directly onto the block and is about 15cm long. It conn...

I stand confused. The old WBX was electronic sorry but the CU is not. I'm gussing a straight swap of the electronic WBX to the CU is not going to happen? ---- Well to answer my own question it is a straight swap and the CU engine is running great now!!! I get the feeling that the engine I brought is...

CU Back firing help
Ok I've just installed a CU Aircooled dual carb in replacement of my water cooled and it's running bad, back firing all over the place and cutting out. I've converted it to electric fuel pump but other than that it's a standard CU with dual carbs etc. I've gapped the points and set a default timing ...

Ok well the first pit fall seems to be that the fuel pump on the 2.0 Aircooled is near the bottom right of the bell housing (rather than top middle on water cooled and my type 2) and so you can't join the block to the housing with it in place. Anyone know a fix for this? Am I going to have to grind ...

Fitting Air Cooled in Place of water cooled pit falls/help
Hi, I've dropped out my near death water boxer and have my 2.0 Aircooled ready to lift in there. (Yes I know everyone will moan but I like Aircooled ;) its simple like me) I'm just wondering if there any any pit falls I need to know about before I start to save me time and money? Also if anyone has ...
