Re: Historic MOT criteria
Hi again, just to clarify, the V112 is just a self declaration. The historic vehicle status or tax exempt, is available, for you, from 1st April 2024, requires registering first time at the post office with the V112, V5C, tax reminder letter V11, if you have one, and proof of insurance. I have done ...

Re: Historic MOT criteria
Hi, as far as my understanding goes it is MOT exempt from it's 40th birthday, so now if it was built April 1983. Just need form V112 filling out, assuming the vehicle is not significantly altered. Historic vehicle status, as others have said is from the April following. You cannot tax your vehicle o...

Re: Setting up hydraulic lifters CU engine
Hi, I've just done mine, for the second time recently. I would advise taking it for a good run so the lifters haven't bled down. I didn't first time and had to redo them subsequently. I believe I had read this somewhere!

Re: Tinware front engine plate T25 CU 2000cc Aircooled
Hi, sorry for the delay in getting back to you. I have attached some pictures, hope they're good enough. Mine definitely has a return lip on the top edge. The original link you sent with the new part looks like that's off a T2 van. Hope these help. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20230605/4465ecbfa...

Re: Tinware front engine plate T25 CU 2000cc Aircooled
Hi, I'm no expert, far from it, but that looks like the wrong tinware to me. I have a 1980 air-cooled 2.0 and mine lays flat to the bulkhead and seals against that. I've just crawled out from underneath it, setting my cam followers, but could get a picture tomorrow if it would help. Regards Jed Sent...

Re: Oil change??? T3 2LTR
Hi, book's right I believe. I measured total length of dipstick from the black stop of 57cm. Attached some rubbish pictures to verify. Happy campering. Re: Vw birth certificate
Hi Matt, I could be wrong about this but I think the cut off date is the 7th of Jan. Not too sure if that's the registration deadline. Just been through the same with mine, I was the back end of January but at least it's now MOT exempt when it turned 40 earlier this year. I'm sure I got my date info...

Re: New fuel pump but still no fuel to carb
Hi all, many thanks to all the regulars for there information and advice. I don't post often as I know very little compared to you but have you checked the little cone filter in the carb inlet? It can be removed carefully with an appropriate sized screw. Regards Jed Sent from my HTC U11 life using T...

Try this one. Seems to be in the same position as the other carb.

Hi, I've had a trip to the cellar and tried to take some pictures that may help you. Shows right hand carb and left hand carb with choke open and closed, or closed and open!!! Re: T3-friendly garage/mechanic near Swindon
Hi all. Long time lurker, first time poster. I'll start with a big thanks to all the regular posters for their helpful knowledge. I have a 1980 Devon Moonraker and I had the problem with the odometer. I believe it's a common issue and I fixed mine with a bit of super glue! The cog that runs the odom...
