Gearbox issue and clutch smell

Hello all A couple of weeks ago I bought a t25 2.1 5 speed and took it for it's first proper run this weekend. I drove it to Devon - which is over 100 mikes from where I live and toward the end of the journey I started to get a strong clutch type smell. Also when I was changing down to engine brake,...

turning a 2.6 south african t25 into a camper

Hi there

I'm considering importing a microbus from South Africa. Has anyone had experience of turning one into a camper? I see that the boot floor is higher so was wondering how straightforward is it to fit a rock and roll bed? I'm after a multivan type arrangement.

Regards

Tapping sound......

Hello all I have a t25 LLE 2.1 petrol which recently has started making a fairly loud tapping sound. The noise is not coming from the engine itself - the rate of the tapping noise increases with road speed and it stops instantly if I depress the clutch. It is not audible when the van is stationary w...

Re: How tight should my nuts be???

No, they're not on adaptors - they're German wheels which have the correct offset for the van. They look like cup 2 porsche wheels.

How tight should my nuts be???

Greetings all, and a Merry Christmas to boot! I've had the tyres on my van replaced today - it's an LLE multivan sporting 16'' porsche style alloys. The guy who refitted them torqued the bolts up to 140nm but said normally with steel wheels they should be tightened up to 160nm He has told me to keep...

Re: Wet Feet!

thanks for all the info. Have checked the van and the drivers side washer jet is hanging loose so may be that that's the cause of the bother. Will reseal it if it ever stops pissing down!

Thanks

Wet Feet!

Hello all, and a happy new year :D I took my 1992 LLE multivan out on boxing day to go to a party, and on the way water started dripping onto my right foot from under the dash. It only seems to happen when the heater fan is switched on. It's not a lot of water, and the dripping stopped after a few m...

Rough running 2.1 wbx - advice needed

Hi drove 200 miles yesterday in the van. At first all was well but after a couple of hours doing 60 on the motorway the engine started to misfire intermittantly. I came off the motorway onto an a road and I thought I was going to break down as it was running so rough and wouldn't pull away at juncti...
