cheers for advice everyone...

I've disconnected the inverter, and just plugged the solar into the (flat?) LB. I can hear a fail bubbling noise from the battery...

is that a good thing?

yes - think i'll persevere with the solar - but sell the inverter - can't see i have a need for it...especially with the odd shaped earth pin. apparently the previous owner ran power tools from it or something. thanks for input having said that - the power reading from the panel seems a bit lame for...

the panel is quiet large - fitted to the rear of the raised roof - I'd say it's about 800mmx400mm... which i would have thought would be pretty powerful?

maybe that black box is a regulator?

what i don't get is... if driving the van charges the LB - what would you need a solar panel for?

Interior Electrical - Inverter / Solar Panel / Leisure Batt

The T25 I'm thinking of buying has a 1000W inverter attached to the leisure battery... which looks like this.... ...the thing is... (and reasons why I'll persevere with the dalek cap) 1. when i had it checked out by the mechanic, he said the head looked fine and the seals were good... also, i can hear the air hissing out of the dalek when the engine is warm... 2. when i first looked at the system - before real...

ok... so here's the (possibly good) news.... ...yesterdays 'little bubbles coming into the top up tank' were checked out by looking through the number plate hatch - hadn't had the time to check under the hood... then had to rush off to play a gig last night, so didn't give it another thought.... ......

now I'm gutted... I got it checked out by a local guy who is supposed to be fairly straight up - and a VW mechanic... he charged me £100 to give it the once over - he didn't mention that the top up tank was empty - and told me that the seals on the head looked good...?! ...I only picked up on this i...

tiny bubbles

so...after cleaning out the dalek... i put the coolant in the top up tank and drove home... took about 15 minutes... so maybe not really warm enough to check as per Ian's instructions... but maybe near enough... anyway - the thing is - I had a look in the top up tank when idling... and there was a s...

latest in the saga

ok, so I opened the bleed valve (once I'd got the correct grill off) on a cold engine, (of course...) nothing - no air, no bubbles... normal for a cold one right? all seemed well... a guy that works with me used to have a T25, and he wanted a look - so, I was about to show him how the coolant squirt...
