Hmm. They are definately connected together properly on mine (i.e. from the factory not some bodge). If I am correct it also would explain why the clock no longer works, as it would be disconnected. I guess though it could be different on a different model of transporter, so I may be wrong. I would ...

On mine the two red wires (the thick and thin ones) are connected together within the ISO connector; I assume the thick one comes from the fuse box to supply the radio and the thin one continues across the dash to feed other stuff like the clock and the interior light.

Tailgate panel trim clips

hello, I bought some trim clips from JK to mount a mdf tailgate panel, but the holes are 8mm and the clips are barely wider than this, so they don't hold.. I've tried looking on ebay for wider clips, but can't find anything - does anyone know where I can get some clips that will hold it on properly?...

Opening boot from inside

Hello, I am fitting a JK mdf panel on the inside of the boot of my 1989 Transporter. However I currently find it useful to be able to open the boot from the inside by putting my hand in and pulling the metal bit forward. (mainly because the lock is almost impossible to use). Obviously if I put the p...
