Re: sudden overheating - early water pump
Agree with the revs, they need to be high, ideally a spare pair of hands to assist. Also worth noting mine does run cooler since pump replacement, only a few degrees but poss goes to show the pump was not as efficient as it should have been. I just had a drip from mine, changed it when it started sq...

Re: sudden overheating - early water pump
CovKid I had issues with air when I replaced my water pump, 2 day job from start to finish, similar issues as you! With the same seized bolt. The only way I could get rid of the air was to ease the main hose off the block with the bleed valve holding the 4 main water pipes in the engine bay, that le...

Water pump
Hi all What is "acceptable play" on a water pump / pulley in your opinions? I seem to have a bit of play on my water pump, small in and out bit more of side to side, no leaks, no loss of water, pumping round, no overheating, alternator / pump belt correct tension (regularly checked) i did ...

Fabricator challenge
Hi Is there a metal fabricator out there who could make a bracket for a pump. This is to secure an onboard pump for a boat. Requires 5 various size pieces welded together to form the required bracket. Material has to be stainless steel (marine EN316 grade not necessary) 8mm plate thickness (for the ...

Split charger kick in?
Hi Wonder if anyone could enlighten me at what voltage a typical split charge relay kicks in and out, obviously above 12v, is it standard kick in and out, or do they differ by a great deal, cant see any markings on the split charger I have. The reason I ask, the 80W solar panel I have fixed to the v...

Re: could be adapted for a t25
I like the concept of that, but the biggest drawback would be the sliding door, when stowed inside the vehicle it would make the sliding door redundant, if you have more than 2 passengers the only way in or out would be the front doors and big jump up or down at the back. The vehicle featured has lo...

Re: POP TOP TO HIGH TOP
Baldy Looks like a Holdsworth roof IMHO on the Ebay link, Ian Hulley corrected my typo, B & C pillar cross member connection (Not A & C as I said  ) Looks like where the cross member is bolted to (pic 2) is either a welded part to body / pillar where the original cross member was conne...

Re: POP TOP TO HIGH TOP
I have a Holdsworth high top and confirm it is high full length, not sure of cross member positioning, or if it has any, would like to think that there is some sort of strengthening across the width, was about to go out and measure up for best position for a solar panel so will investigate presence ...
