Re: What length are standard rear springs
I am going to do both sides, I need to know what length standard springs are to know if the pair I've sourced are lower. Brickwerks don't do just the rears which is what I want because I've also sourced some 50mm fronts with shocks so I can give my van a very slight nose down stance.

What length are standard rear springs
What length are standard rear springs? Are all caravelle (petrol & diesel) 30mm shorter. One of mines snapped and need to get hold of 1 & fit it before time runs out for my free M.O.T retest.

Annoying squeak from front suspension
I've got a really annoying squeak from the front suspension whenever I go over a bump. It seems to be coming from under the floor between the front seats. Anyone know which bushes these are likely to be & are they simple to replace?

Re: Rear Wheel Bearing Problems
Thought as much, the spare wheel is standard so I'll see if the socket will fit through that on Tuesday when I've got the day off.

Re: Rear Wheel Bearing Problems
Some photo's would be a great help, I have read the wiki advice as advised and I think I get it! I had a little play yesterday and fell at the 1st hurdle. I couldn't get the castle nut undone. The van was on an axle stand and it just didn't seem stable enough to stand on the scaffold pole I had over...

Re: Rear Wheel Bearing Problems
Thanks for the advice, anyone got a guide to changing the rear wheel bearings. I can get hold of a 46mm socket and a scaffold bar, so apart from the bearing kit, what else will I need and what problems am I likely to encounter?

Rear Wheel Bearing Problems
The Rear wheel bearing on my 88 T25 is playing up again. 2 years ago it was noisy so tightened up the castle nut and replaced split pin and it seemed O.K. On the way through France it became really noisy so had it replaced by a VW garage in France who charged me about 250 Euro's for the privilage. I...

Re: AAZ Cutting out on steep hills
Lee, thanks for the suggestion, it would have worked. I found out what the problem was by dropping the tank, there was a load of "slime or gunge" in the bottom of the tank. Cleaned it all out with some water, petrol then more water and it has worked a treat. It's running stronger than ever...

AAZ Cutting out on steep hills
I've got a T25 with an AAZ conversion that keeps cutting out when going up steep hills. Ihave just changed the fuel filter, cleaned the K&N airfilter that's on it and run some injector cleaner through it, which is making it run much better but still having this problem when going up steep hills....

What starter motor will my T25 1.9TD AAZ have?
My starter motor has packed up on my 1.9TD AAZ converted T25. Originally, I believe it was a 1.6td. The starter has been re-conditioned at some time in it's life and I can't see the part number, tried wire brushing and everything, but it has just sunk into the metal. Would it have the original start...

Re: Plastic Pipe from clutch slave cylinder Broken
Thanks for that, I did try just kampers, the part they list is for early vans that had this flexi pipe in between the plastic pipe and the metal one. The later vans just had a long plastic pipe straight to the metal pipe and neither VW, just kampers or brickyard do it. Great Eh!!!!!!!!

Re: Plastic Pipe from clutch slave cylinder Broken
The trouble with doing it in copper is that the slave cylinder is mounted on the gearbox, which moves up and down, which I guess is why the last part of the pipe is plastic. If other large vans have a similar set up I suppose I could get 1 off ebay and adapt that a bit! Think that's what i'm going t...
