update on my earlier post,thanks to a fellow vdubber on ebay.i secured 2.5 litres of pastel turqoise ral 6034 for the sum of 20 quid including post to me!!bargain will start the prep process this weekend and hope to be painting in a couple of weeks time weather permitting!!!

will post what i have to pay and where,looking at sanding the whole van with 320grit with an air orbital as the van has had a very poor but thick respray by the previous owner,was going to paint the roof white and rest of van ral 5012 blue,so i am hoping to get away with a litre for the roof(tin top...

yep you can always rely on a death wish fly!!do we still get a discount on the phone at rustoleum,just trying to trying to keep the costs down as i have to do a veltrim trim out on the interior to make it nice for the summer,great post and keep the info coming :D

Thanks for all the feedback, as soon as i have a spare day (Sunday) I will do some more tinkering. I will try the local vw breakers for the right hoses and take it from there, I look forward to a challenge!! Look forward to the 24mpg at some point in the future if all goes well.

where does this go!!

having just picked up my new ride from Karl at Wolfsburg Wizards,we have a mystery wire! Karl did a swop job on the Fuel injection for a carb setup and whilst it would appear the other wires are going to the coil i have mystery wire coming out of the carb near to the base towards the back of the van...

thanks for that,i assume the alternator just has to run on load longer to top up the battery,a bit more fuel for a lot more cranking amps seems a fair price to pay
