I have Richards exhaust on my syncro, and would describe it as fairly loud. It has quietened a little since first fitting. Cruising around country roads no problem, but it can be a bit tiring on the motorway at 70mph. Sounds good though!

Yes, on my syncro conversion I am using RJES engine bar, bell housing and exhaust and a small car sump. Everything fits (though I had to fabricate extra mounts for the exhaust - syncroandy is right, 2 angle iron brackets!) except the engine protection bars. If you need pictures let me know

Thanks for the welcome. The RJES exhaust mount is attached to the engine via bolts through 2 of the timing belt pulleys. The lower part of the mount is supposed to attach to the sump via a bracket. I have just finished a ej251 SOHC conversion on my syncro and can confirm that Richards (RJES) engine bar and exhaust will fit with the Smallcar sump. Richard was excellent with his help when I did the conversion. The engine protection bars do not fit and my next job is to sort that out.
