Re: sound system speakers
Separating bass frequencies out to a compact sub is the single next best improvement you can make. I used an active compact setup with a Blaupunkt THB200a. No longer available new but come up on El bay for about 80 to 90 quid. Superb sound and nice touches such as sound activated switch on, so you d...

Re: water pump part numbers 1.9 petrol
Thanks OBG, useful chart. Looks like mine is the DG variant. Last 4 chars of my pump are deffo 019A though, I took a close up flash photo holding my slim ol' HTC phones camera right down near the part no. cast into the pump body. It also has 1a WWO just above the main number. New pump now ordered.

water pump part numbers 1.9 petrol
Evening all. Well, my water pump has given up the ghost. I've read the wiki. Searched the forum. Plenty of good advice thanks ! My question is about part numbers and compatibility for the replacement pump. The knackered pump has part number 025.121.019 A. I can only find pumps with variants of 025.1...

Re: Interior out to weld new sill?
I would say interior out. When I had mine done some while back it was only when the interior was out that the total extent of the work needed was visible. That and removing any risk that the welding will set fire to things furniture shaped ! I also then got to properly rust protect and paint the rep...

Re: Upgrading headlamps
I'm sure H4 is the lense too and not just the bulb. Confirm. It is the lens and the reflector as well. You need a whole different H4 specific unit. It's plug and play to fit though. I picked up some for £5 each at a show from a breaker. H4 'has a different beam pattern' ..as described to me by my M...

240 heater heats up & I let it run on 240v for a couple of hours. No discernible drop in temperature at all.

Re: Autohomes Fridge
Yep. Three way. RM212. Original equipment in my Autohomes. As it's fubar'd I have replaced it with a Waeco. But.. I'm still tinkering with the RM in the hope that I can fix it and use it in another vehicle. I may be wasting my time ? This is not unusual.

Re: Autohomes Fridge
Fab explaining indeed. Mines knackered however, so which part of this co-dependent chemical cycle would have broken down, if I know the heat sources are ok ? Have tried the upside down trick. Nada. Is there anything else to try ?
Cheers.

Also check these folks out.

I did my van with carpet from them last year. It's very good quality stuff. They also do adhesives and panel clips etc..

Re: best jack
Aidan.. thanks for giong the whole hog with the explanation on this. I had been pondering the merits of the pin VS ratched for the axle stands. Folks opinions deem divided on safety. I think it's a pair of 3 ton stands, ratchet equipped for me now though. Standard van with (Autohomes) hightop so tha...

Re: best jack
Cheers Aidan. from other forum posts it looks like this jack along with some extra stout hardwood blocks should cover the fairly big range needed to get it all done with a single jack. I could of course lower the van as well ..
On the subject of axle stands. 6Ton ! Just to be sure I assume ?

Re: best jack
Just extending this thread as I have similar question.. As I need a jack that can start low (for the Rocco) but also go higher for the van, would this one go high enough ? http://www.sealey.co.uk/PLPageBuilder.a ... ctid=13541 The price is massively reduced as a xmas offer so it's tempting, but only...
