Re: Louvered window, what conversion?
yes I have one on my sleeper and it comes with a fly screen. Mine's got the fly screen on it. Can the mesh fly screen be replaced if it gets torn? The flyscreens on my window are intact with no rips etc. Difficult to see in the pictures though. I really wanted to fit it to mine but it just isn't po...

Re: Louvered window, what conversion?
Thanks for the replies! The interior I bought was an Autosleeper one so it would make sense that this window is from an Autosleeper conversion as it came with the interior when I bought it. I wanted to fit it to my van which started life as a Viking but due to the condition of the interior when I bo...

Louvered window, what conversion?
Hi I have this louvered window which I am selling in the for sale section. I was told it was from a Westy but have since been advised it isn't. I'm just wondering if anyone knows what it's from as I don't want to mis-inform anyone. the dimensions are width 41" x high 15 1/4" (104cmx39cm) h...

Re: New boy to posting, pics of my bus
Only things I can note is that if you change the carbs to Dells, expect better performance, but you will lose choke. Also, I would think twice before replacing that vent. The reason why the vent was added is that it gets VERY muggy up there even during normal temps. If anything, consider a clip on ...

Re: New boy to posting, pics of my bus
Hi Steve I would reeeaally appreciate the measurements for the roof cushions if at all possible :D I was wondering about the missing roof bar? when I got the bus I got up there and checked it out, it seems that somebody had the forethought to seal up the holes so I am lucky the the wooden supports f...

Re: westfalia roof vent
I have a rather old fiamma roofvent on my viking which could do with replacing. Looking at my in-laws caravan and some i-net searching I like the look of the Heki mini rooflight. They come with bug screen and blackout blind and are around £70 so more expensive but better looking and more aerodynamic...

Re: New boy to posting, pics of my bus
I like them spot lights :ok cheers! they are left over when a mate revamped his bathroom. They where originally 240v fed to transformer down to 12v, hence 12v straight into the bus. They originally had 20w halogen lamps which where very bright but with the power drain on the liesure battery and the...

Re: New boy to posting, pics of my bus
Hi Steve&Bev Here's the shots of the roof up you asked for. Ignore the pole across one of them as I was expermenting with some old awning poles I have to see if I could add extra support to the roof canvas in case of nasty weather!! http://i524.photobucket.com/albums/cc321/thebaldyman/DSC_...

New boy to posting, pics of my bus
Hi I have had my 1981 2.0l Aircooled Viking since May last year but have yet to post any pictures of it on here. I did a straight swap for it with a mk1 golf gti convertable which i bought after selling my bay(to stop the wife spending all of my VW money  ). The interior was knackered and I to...

Re: Planning a respray (considering two-tone) lots of images.
My Viking was originally Liana green. Unfortunately it has been handpainted some grim yellowy/mustard primer colour. I will be putting it back to Liana green before the summer but doing a subtle 2 tone with white around the window recess to compliment the white viking roof. I will be putting some ph...
