Thanks for reply I went out bought new return pipe as 2 were weeping so changed them and found a few other problems...the thermo calve on fuel filter has no clup or oring so maybe that would cause air leak and make engine perform like it was ??

right guys so fitted the aef engine into the van originally a petrol van been driving it last 2 days, felt fine ,then tonight on way home van started to lose power then was ok and this happened a few times en route home,kinda like fuel issues ,then on inspection injectors 1&3 had diesel on the b...

OK so I've fitted a diesel aef engine to our van (originally a petrol )
Alternator shows on dash that its not charging ,but I just needed to know if anyone could draw me the simplest wiring diagram for the alternator ?just incase I'm missing something.

Anyone else done this conversión.. Petrol to aef deisel

Guys I'm having a moment.
So 1.9 aef engine fitted into gearbox I've came to fit the engine bars and on lhs I've bolted engine bar to from of the leg and rear valance.
The bolt in middle that's meant to go through the mount at side with rubber is about 1"forward from hole? What am I missing

Yeah there's a mix match of leads etc it's doing my head in order new leads and plugs from jk and I got them all plugs had nipples on so took em. Off as the old plugs didn't have em on, Used the old dissy I had on the engine original and the leads didn't fit the cap smaller ends on new leads, I'm go...

Thanks Steve for replying Basically I have swapped engine over from a rusty bucket to A not so rusty bucket, along the way I have added ss exhaust and new leads that's about it new battery checked fuel lines and all good, I'm convinced it's electrical but need to find out what and where, I shouldn't...

So had engine out from an scrap van, had it running in scrap van to double check all was well. Swapped it into the wife's van and it's being a pig to start and keep running.
