Late to the fold but I have just acquired an 86 Syncro Rhd converted panel van Jx turbo it's more of a project than a runner but it's a keeper ( one of the 208 gang;-) )

Thank you very much gentlemen I've managed to order the luk clutch kit from Gsf with Brian's part number for the Quattro I will update when fitted just in case of spline issues fingers crossed all will be good. Next job in the coming months will be to source an exhaust system or make a stainless one...

Luk can't tally up van or nos allthough the van had a Luk plate and disk fitted
Tps, heritage, euros, Gsf, jk all run up blanks

Hi all I have a customers South African 95 plate 2.6i t25 in and need to source a clutch. Clutch measures 240mm and was a LUK replacement clutch kit which is not specifically listed on their site problem is as with a lot of sa parts nos they don't cross reference with vw Europe Can any one help I am...

What carb are you running solex df or pier burg dg ? If solex check for audible click from fuel solenoid left on carb check you getting voltage of 12.3 plus at the feed lead to it the df solex will run on choke and starve of fuel on the primary circuit once choke is of

Good ole parafin spray on with battery disconnected agitate with a stiff brush and the jet wash of close all openings in to engine and best to drain oil and refresh after a bit of a messy job but works wonders for even better results use a steam cleaner regards doug

Ps starter issues good to check earth strap at front end of gearbox remove clean up mounting points to make good contact and refit cures many a slow starter issue

If 1.9 df unit with solex pict 34 carb check for operation of fuel cut of solenoid as will run on choke but as soon as choke comes of no fuel to primary circuit and thus stall should you need any help check out my signature site I may be able to help as based in angmering regards doug

hm as I;ve mentioned several times since the hassle I had with them last year, I would never ever use them or reccomend them to anyone.
