Re: Solar Panel setup question

rsz_1camper.jpg Ok - so at the risk of being laughed out of here, and after reading all this thread...... the sparky friend of ours connected up our new solar panel, and has rewired all interior camping electrics following us building a new interior. I do profess to know less than nothing about ele...

Re: Clicking relay

Electrics worry me normally let alone the ones in this van lol! I remember the last time I drove at night the left stalk jamming a bit when trying to dip headlights, and as that's the same stalk as indicators I wonder if something's also not right that end? I think I will talk nicely to a mate who t...

Clicking relay

Driving home from camping today heard a clicking sound from glove box. Turned out it was a relay. Took it out and checked which it was - supposed to be side lights, but then indicators wouldn't work. The indicator lamp lit up on dash, but didn't flash - neither did the indicators themselves. Useless...

Re: Vinyl for Cupboard Doors

I was thinking of doing that with mine when I started working on it, but my vinyl went brittle and would have been a nightmare to strip off. As it wasn't in bad nick, I decided to just re-edge them all with new trim to match the new interior, and in all fairness was pleased with the result that gave...

Re: Finding Grey Plastic Trim?

I have a load of it at home - I retrimmed my units last year in grey and ordered too much. Its the flat T-trim not the bulbous stuff but if it's any use I will see how much I have of it left. :ok

Re: Devon vs Westfalia

Well - when I bought mine it had a side lifting Devon roof - but the struts were knackered and hinges too. Made it nearly impossible for me to lift alone and I also found it a bit mroe fiddly. So changed it for the Reimo front lifting and personally I love it. Don't sleep in top - although there is ...

Re: dogs?

Mine sits on the front seat cos she likes to navigate - but she wears a proper dog harness. I think the law is that animals must not be loose in the car - se they should have a cage or harness when travelling.

Re: curtains and/or blinds and/or tints

I got all windows taken out during resto - had them tinted and refitted with new rubbers - all done by a local bus company and they did a tidy job. I think it cost about £245? Got a roller blind on kitchen window, and thermo mats on all the others. Do still have curtains up to stop it looking a bit ...
