Re: Hot Fridge Wire.....
There's an electrical wiring diagram for a Holdsworth Villa in the wiki; chances are yours will be much the same Ta ......interesting. Altho the Variety is a bit more basic.....i.e no zig unit. Gonna replace the relay, to see if the problem lies there........then check the wiring back to the fridge.

Re: Hot Fridge Wire.....
Ta......90A did seem a tad high......like I said, best not to believe everything on forums! Wiring is original Holdsworth Conversion, but did have my suspicions about size.......I also wondered whether a dodgy relay may cause this, as it did spark when I was fiddling earlier....... Time for a...

Hot Fridge Wire.....
Just got my Electrolux fridge working on 12v.......I'm a bit nervous due to the original fuse holder being slightly melted/brown. Anyway the wire and relay are quite warm in use. is this due to the fridge drawing big amps when starting up, read somewhere that they can pull as much as 90 amps on star...

Early DG Temperature Gauge
My gauge needle always sat off center....effectively giving a higher than normal reading .......but recently the led has started to flash after a few miles.....two questions......does the led take its cue from needle position, or is it from a separate sensor?? Also, I removed the gauge to have a loo...

Re: Replacing water pipes alternative
Why would using stainless be doing the job properly as opposed to using marine exhaust or something else? It is just another solution to the replacement question. I hear what you're saying.... :D Just my opinion like......... :idea Correct fit, ends match connections........less hassle. Just easier...

You can fit the stainless ones without removing the tank.....just make sure you get the correct ones.
Half a day, with tea breaks......... most awkward bit is removing the old pipes.
The blue stuff will fold up if you overheat...........I've had this on a Jeep Cherokee bodge.

Re: 1.9 to 2.1??
Any reason for the suspicion of it being a 2.1 ......my 1.9 DG is an Elite Recon.......and has a DJ prefix on the engine number........apparently they use the same case, and didnt bother 'changing' the engine number etc....... I thought exactly the same as you.......at first. Having said that...it d...
