Do you mean that the blockage would NOT cause my symptom of oil out of the inside of the dip stick tube? ie: The half blocked air filter is a red herring for my symptom.

My symptoms are definetely oil coming up the inside of the dip stick tube. I know this because when I did my test run of 20km, there were no leaks on the engine but when I checked the dip stick, oil was creeping its way up the marker.
