put the clips on top of the deflector, U upside down , about 10" apart and push it up.

Cheers for the advice. I will sort that out this weekend. Hopefully that will keep them in place.

Cheers I suspected it might be that. I guessed the mirrors would be swapped against the switch although i would have thought up would still be up and that has not changed. I will re-label the switch. I found another wire black/yellow which appears to be the genernal live form the fuse. So does that ...

Electric Mirrors. Fixing and wiring

Hi All I have bought a complete (LHD) set of mirrors which have come with the full wiring loom and switch. I have two questions for anyone who has retro fitted these: 1. The third screw fixing at the bottom of each mirror. So this is there to support the additional weight of these over the basic mir...

Hello I'm not sure about your specific unit but my van has the CF8 (a pretty common one i think). The instructions for fitting say you should not use a split charge relay as the ZIG controls the charging. The ZIG was fitted at time of conversion by Reimo but i have the manuals. Its possible that my ...

Hello This may be of use to you. I wrote this out when I put my engine in and had to time it as I had changed the diesel pump over from the old engine Now I am not a mechanic so this may not be explained exactly as it should be - hopefully it can give you some guidance. It was written from an explan...

but I will be using Mk1 lenses as it only minor trimming needed with those Poshbuggers: how much fiddling around is needed to get Mk1 lamps to fit then? I was looking as some Mk1 cross hair lamps - very cool IMHO. Which is easier Mk1 or Mk2? Do you need to adjust both with some welding? Cheers lee.

To be pedantic, the fluorescent lights i've ever seen in campers are all cold-cathode types.

JK Poptop fabric replacement

Hello I have a Reimo with Flat poptop roof which AFAICS is very similar in construction to the Westy roof. Not that I have examined a westy roof from inside when raised. Externally they look the same when raised. Has anyone changed their Westy/ Reimo poptop fabric? If so how complex is it. I realise...

CCFL: Cold Cathode

Hi all For any one who is interested I have installed two CCFL lamps in my van. Each of these these appear to me to be about the same brightness as 2 x 8w Flourescent tubes. By my reckoning they use about 1/3 of the power. (the PSU was 400ma for the CCFL). These lamps are used by car modders and PC ...
