Re: Ebber B2L

Kev, my D2 had a little mesh after the glow plug. They can get muck on them from the fuel so the heat sensor cuts out the heater.

Not sure if they are the same but worth a look.

Oil leak 2ltr CU engine

Good evening to you all, Rebuilt my 2Ltr CU engine last year, but now I have a bad oil leak  On investigation today I have identified its running down the back of the oil filter ( the filter is on tight ), then its makes its way under the crankcase, once warm I have a constant stream of all. No...

Re: Carbs - Quick Dellorto Questions before Purchase!

Right, found rolling road in Manchester that specialises in air-cooled VW, has pics of a dellorto on home page! That seems better. Toomanytoys - I'll send you a PM once I've got the dollortos on regarding the weber. Its is good nick other than the warped base, and has full rebuilt kit recently appl...

Re: Carbs - Quick Dellorto Questions before Purchase!

Hi, I drilled and tapped a boss into my left manifold and have had no braking issues. The bug pack is a mod I purchased from stateside for the oil breather (about £30-£40 I think ) I have added an electric fuel pump and regulator ( vw heritage website )some say dells like a certain pressure which th...

Re: Oil breather location....

The oil pipe goes into the top of the rocker cover. I placed my oil breather box at the back of the engine bay, I then just cut a small section of the tinware seal to locate the pipe through: http://i268.photobucket.com/albums/jj6/dazwatson/image-2.jpg [/URL] Shiney...does it work yet? 2Ltr CU piston issue

Hi, Below are pictures taken after head removal due to fuel evaporating back into my dellorto's & suspecting a valve issue, its happening on cylinder No 4, what we have found is damage to the top of the piston & inside the head BUT no valve damage. It certainly looks like I will be replacing...
