Thanks for all your input and help guys, turns out that a good blast of compressed air down the carb seemed to fix the problem, so I guess it must have been a crap in the carb issue. A lesson learnt here.

Re: Adjustment screw on carb, does what?
Cheers Ian, thats kind of what i'm now thinking, but sadly the fiddling has already been done. Is there a way to set this up without an emissions analyser? something as simple as number of loosing turns from fully closed? Do you think this could cause issues such as fuel starvation in the carb under...

Re: Adjustment screw on carb, does what?
Cheers of the re-post of the photo there R0B, not sure why I couldn't make it visible. Ye so not much joy with that screw then? I've noticed that when fiddling with it, it can have an effect on the smoothness of start-up and idle, and when fiddling with it when the engine was running and hot it had ...

Adjustment screw on carb, does what?
Hey guys,
Can anyone tell me what I'm adjusting in this photo: http://gallery.me.com/a.birch#100004/Va ... olor=black" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; ??
Haynes doesn't seem to cover the same carb that I have.
Cheers,
Andy

Re: tries to cut-out on acceleration
Ok issues have changed somewhat! It's gone from running bumpy n occassionally cutting out to stalling straight away when started. I put new fuel pump thinking it was the issue but it's still doing it. Now I give her a little pump of fuel before starting her, start n she fires up n runs fine for 2-10...

tries to cut-out on acceleration
Hey, a problem developed recently, which involves loss of power on acceleration, also sometimes cutting out altogether, and bucking. But the problem has become more the engine trying to cut-out when I open the throttle. Heres a link to a vid of the issue: http://gallery.me.com/a.birch#100004/Van&quo...

Re: Coolant level sensor - voltmeter testing
My issue occurred on the green pcb which help the LEDs, the securing pins which kept the pcb tight and inplace had been damaged which meant that when I drove over bumps in the road the dash would shake cutting power to the pcb starting the bulb flashing. I'd say make sure the pcbs are secured, and k...

Re: Coolant level sensor - voltmeter testing
Hey,
Just a note, I had a similar problem a while back with the sensor light flashing, and after a little investigation it turned out the printed circuit board in the dash was loose. So i secured it and the problems fixed.
Simple success
