Re: Temp Gauge Light Flashing, Any Ideas ??

I think the light will flash if: a) Coolant level is low - sensor in expansion tank. b) Coolant too hot. Not sure if this uses the same sensor as the needle on the gauge, or whether there's another 'too hot' sensor somewhere though. I could be wrong though. I'm bus-less at the moment, and my Haynes ...

Change the cable. Not too expensive. Either that or it may stick when you're pulling away from lights so that you end up with full throttle mid gear-change...a nice scream from the back.... followed by persistent ticking sound that requires a trip to Mr. Baxter's hospital. Stripped the threa...

My old white camper would make sure you filled slowly anyway.

Anything more than a dribble and the pump would shut off. I never did sort out all those little breather pipes on the fuel tank....

How reliable are these as a general rule?

There's a 2.1 automatic for sale near me, and it wouldn't need MOT etc. as it's already on Manx numberplates...

Personally I wouldn't. I'd be worried about it gunking up all those little intricate pipes that make up the T3 cooling system. The rubber the seal is made from expands and contracts more than metal does. I think those sealant things are really designed for cracks in metal parts rather than gaps in r...

sods law it'll happen right in the middle of a busy box junction or when turning on to a main road. Has been every time its happened to me. My Mk 2 golf did that pulling out of a junction too, so they must be designed that way! Stray bolt went through side of gearbox housing too, so it wasn't a che...

I own a camper. (The yellow one.)
Just that my brother-in-law is borrowing it on a kind of permanent basis.

He pays for the running repairs, but it's still mine!

(My secret plan is that once he's fixed it all up, I'll bring it back here for a Manx MOT attempt!)

Should be a permanent 12V feed at the horn itself. (It gets grounded on the other side when you push the button.) A quick check would be to just short the ground side of the horn to the bodywork. (From memory, it's a brown wire. Worth checking with a meter though as it wouldn't be good to short the ...

I've been using Excel for years, and COUNTIF is the way I do it too!

You would have thought that you could do it easily in the newer versions, but I've never really looked. I 'cut my teeth' on Excel 97, so I still use all the tricks I had to with that...

COUNTIF doesn't take too long to do, luckily!
