Re: Diesel - Fuel Expansion Tank and Strainer
Interesting to know.
On mine it was a plastic t piece as the fuel also went to the old diesel heater. The plastic stapped as soon as I touched it. The new adapter seems to work ok.

Re: Gear selection problem.
Hey Guys, Latest update. I managed to get a few days on a ramp which makes working much easier. After spending an evening reading on various forums I had some more ideas to try. I worked out that I could select the gears easy at the gear box with the linkage off, with the engine running and with the...

Re: Gear selection problem.
Thanks for your ideas about getting a better condition one. I will start to look around and put a wanted advert out. As you say the wear on the rear bush area is a problem so I want to make sure if I buy one its in better condition. I am back in the UK over Xmas for a few weeks so it could end being...

Re: Gear selection problem.
Hey Guys, Thanks again for all your help. Aidan. From what i know the van was once petrol but I am not sure if the correct gear linkage was installed? The previous owner was a complete cowboy which has necessitated fixing almost every part on the van. Up to when you mentioned about the gear linkage ...

Hey Guys, Thanks for the input. Re: Gear selection problem.
Ok so the box is back in and its the same :run I have to say I am more than a bit fed up up with it now! My first drive down the road I had lovely smooth gear change, came to a junction, no gears  . Lots of clutch peddle pumping and gear stick forcing and off again. Now the gear change is very...

So the parts are slowly coming in from all over the world. http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8336/8137456204_f59d80d54c.jpg It may be over kill replacing some parts but the van is on it's last chance  . By that I mean if it keeps letting us down it will have to be sold as we can't have a daily dri...

Re: Gear selection problem.
Looks similar to the problem I had. The release bearing had come unclipped on the same side. It's definitely worn, it wasn't until I saw an un worn one that I realised how much mine was worn. Whether its excessive, I'm sure Aiden will be along shortly, but at between 20-40 euros new, I personally w...
