Thanks for the reply, we are in Pakefield, Lowestoft Suffolk. Don't mind transporting the van if needs be. Took out the valve assembly and found fragments of inner splined plates, so will need a master kit rebuild

I have a Vw 1988 campervan with 2.1l engine and automatic transmission. Van is stuck in 1st gear and cooked the transmission oil. Cleaned the governor and pan etc, drained and replace the transmission oil, but to no avail still stuck in 1st. Anyone know a engineer or specialist who can refurbish the...
