when i posted this i had a problem, however as a week passed i would switch the ignition on and wait 30sec, then the red light stopped coming on, you tell me, and now i just wait till the yellow glow plug light goes out and start her, still no red light, fingers crossed,

All depends on the quality of the alarm, If its fitted for £300, then its not bad as you'll have the insurance cert stamped, your insurance company may want a copy of the cert. what make of alarm is it?
