1Y Cooling flange
Hello folks. Can someone please point me in the right direction ? I am searching for the aluminium cooling flange that bolts onto the back of the head where one of the heater hoses connects. Struggling at the moment. Thankyou.

Thanks Smcknighty , yes you were spot on. I feel a tad embarrassed that I did not go for the simple answer........spark plugs, then why should I in my defence when I thought I had a "proper job" done at its last service. DIY all the way now methinks. I agree that not all people see a value...

Well, that was interesting. Last MOT I had the old girl serviced.....plugs, oil and filters. Everything pointed to the MAF so I bit the bullet and bought one.......lots of this old boys pension quids. Anyway I fitted it and for a few miles it ran well, happy man. Then fault came back. Could it be the lambda sensor ? Got hold of a DIY diagnostics and all it says is "engine fault" ? no alarms on dash so I will sleep on it..........may as well watch that football thing that everyone is talking about !

Thanks T.A.D. What I need to do ,if you can help me, is change my throttle body and apparently I need to tell the ECU to recognise it. Electrickery is not my thing (served my time on MK 3 Cortinas ) Very much appreciated.

Thanks for the replies. Yes Toomanytoys they charged me for the first diag and were quite smug with the cam sensor fault. When I went back again they did the diag free ! Trouble is with the idle problem it could be just one cylinder misfire being picked up by the Lamda or idle control valve, it has ...
