the rubber hose above the pink arrow should be the heater send hose, why is it connected back up somewhere in the engine bay ? just wondering, has it got a webasto ? New ones aren't available, so if it is broken, you may aswell try to fix it ! They're fiddly inside, I'd try some non invasive contact cleaning spray first and just douse it, before taking it apart. when was the van built or was it a petrol van converted to diesel ? You'd only use the Aircooled 091 box with the 3 stud mount if the engine is fitted with the early engine mounts and you have the longer 548mm drive shafts bellhousings and input shafts can be changed DH is lowest geared option 5.43...
