Re: Hammock / cab bunk
We used one of the bluebird cab bunks for the first time over the weekend. Our 2 year old loved it ,except we could hardly sleep at night worrying that he was gonna fall out!! Needless to say , he ended up in bed with us again ..... so we could , at least , get a bit of sleep! I am trying to thing o...

Re: France Passion
We've just come back from a trip down the West Coast of France and used 4 France Passion Sites - all were very friendly and I would definitely recommend it to anyone. Only snag for us was that we don't have a toilet on board (not ideal with a pregnant wife) and many places don't have toilets! We ca...

Re: santander to south spain...
I would recomend the same route as Kevtherev. Salamanca is worth , at least , an overnight stop.....really stunning city. Also , Merida (on the same route) has spectacular roman ruins.......blow your mind!(if you're into that kind of stuff!) Seville.........well , nice but a big city , if you've got...

Re: Home built interior units, ply or mdf???
MDF is a fantastically versatile material if you know how to work it .......... but not for camper vans!
It's too heavy and dont like moisture (unless you use moisture resistent or , even better , exterior grade)
Stick to ply. Doesn't need to be marine. Good quality WBP is perfectly adequate.

Re: Roof Vent Replacement
Had the same problem on my autohomes and fitted a 40 by 40.
Really wasn't much of a problem......Just altered the frame battens and cut out with a jigsaw.
Dont think you have much choice , according to all the digging around i did.

Re: Help with welding
Simple......i've had this done by a bloke in forest hill / SE23.
He actually did a total re-spray on mine but the first job was just the fridge side panel.
Is a good honest bloke and very reasonable........i'll dig his details out for you tomorrow if you're interested?

Re: Campsite Clues....Spain, France, Italy
I can vouch for the Camperstop book. I got the recomendation from the very same Mr.Hulley and we found it fantastic for France and useful for Spain/Portugal. Haven't got any particular recomendations for Northern Spanish campsites but , be warned.........they're well expensive!! It seems that you wi...

Andi... How was the weather in Tarifa in Jan 08? Realise it won't be scorchio but hoping for blue skies! During the day it was like a good British summer, very warm and sunny, shorts & t shirt weather. Beautifully bright blue skies too, take very good sunglasses. The evenings it dropped a bit c...
