Re: What's a fair price for supply+fit a 1.9 AAZ?

Dear Nick, Good point. I checked the log book & it has a serial no. for the old DG engine, so I reckon I'll have to tell DVLA. When they hear about it, I understand that they won't issue an MOT until they have an engineer's report. Nice one - thanks. David Thanks for the reply and checking. I w...

Re: What's a fair price for supply+fit a 1.9 AAZ?

Slightly off topic but what are the legal side of things in doing an engine swop?
I'd imagine dvla and the insurance will have to be told but is it necessary to have an engineer's report or whatever?
Thanks, Nick :D

Slip ring and contact on steering wheel

My Syncro just failed the MOT on (among other things) the horn only working intermittently. I checked the contacts on the switch and they were ok so I took the steering wheel off. The copper slip ring and the scraper contact are completely goosed. Anyone know if it's possible to replace them, and wh...

I'll be getting a price in the next couple of days for having the tubing formed to my design... Working on stainless at the moment, might downgrade to mild steel if it comes out too rich.... I've had my prototype on for a fortnight now... lots of positive comments. Went up and down the rocky track ...

Syncronutz

Hi all, I'm now the very proud owner of Smilie the Syncro and have been trying to call Syncronutz. Anyone know if their number has changed or if they're on holiday or something? It's just ringing, no message or voicemail. (I've checked the website and nothing has been posted.)
Thanks. :D

I've a Type 2 Bay (still looking for a Syncro) and know your van could be different, but I had similar problems that turned out to be a stretched clutch cable and a £5 fix! :D

Good site, well found! :D Hope to try Breighton Ferry before too long. The Lion Inn, Blakey Ridge is a great pub with excellent food, beer and real fires. Plus the chance to get snowed in over winter, always a bonus. It does get busy though, often with coaches and it's on the coast to coast wa...

You could give Dormobile a ring on 01794 830831 and see what they say.
Good luck :D

lpg IS harder on the upright engine....... but not on a flat four, its why they fit top end lube systems on inline engines, flat four hasnt the problem, it isnt an issue! its all to do with the petrol , when they were running on leaded. hes partly right, but obviously knows nothing about flat four ...
