Hi Em the external for a 84 model is 32 mm so the internal is prob around 28mm , although i would be concerned that you would end up with a much smaller internal bore if you push rubber through them, and this may? lead to overheating! later models used plastic pipes with an external of 37mm. sorry i...

yes mate at 65 speedo reading the sat nav is saying 56mph, I know my tyres are a wee bit smaller but should only give around 1% error, still I think its better for the speedo to over read.

its definetly wire the thickness of barbed wire etc , I can see the baffle tube which looks intact as far as i can see untill its full of this wire stuff, is it straight through normally like a cherry bomb then?

An eber should be ok on red, there are loads installed on canal boats and they all run red, Just my opinion mind so dont blame me if it goes wrong.

Thanks for the reply, that makes sense, I will modify the mounting to fit. although luckily my gearbox & engine fits fine which is a big plus for me.

I have fitted the bell housing and input shaft , I figure 4th gear is about the same on both boxes and I will use 5th down hill lol .

also I have read on some posts that it is possible to cut down the input shaft from a petrol box with a grinder ,can someone please confirm that this is ok to do.
