Weber carbs ICT vs ICH
Hi folks, I have a couple of questions - I'd like to replace the carbs on my 2l Aircooled engine and wondered 1, what are the differences between weber 34ich and ict? and 2, who in west yorkshire/ wherever would be willing to fit them and set them up if I bought all that was required? 2nd option is ...

Re: Gearbox is toast
It's a DH box or so I'm led to believe. I'm getting it shipped to the garage from the seller on thurs. It would seem I may have a gearbox for sale later. bugger. That'll teach me to be too hasty.

Re: Gearbox is toast
I was checking out the gear ratio's on the brickyard http://www.brick-yard.co.uk/VehicleSpec ... fo/gbx.htm and it shows that the replacement box has the same ratio. If this is so, why would the revs be higher at the same speed?

Re: Gearbox is toast
Cheers for that Fritz, I'm going to go with the cheapest option for now, seems even if I get the box reconditioned, if an old gear goes, I won't be covered. Bought one from a 1.6 Aircooled and getting it fitted on Thurs. Chatted to the guy that's selling and he seems knowledgeable and fair. Fingers ...

Gearbox is toast
Hi folks, I have a T25 with a 2l Aircooled CJ engine, that is in the garage as the DK gearbox fitted is knackered. There are a few 4 speed gearboxes for sale at the minute, from £120 - 250 depending on the source. Should I get my old one fixed, or buy one of these in replacement? Also, does it reall...

Re: Too much fresh air...
Right. I think I deserve some sort of award for the most clumsy get on this forum. This is what I did... Removed grill and applied liberal dose of gaffa tape to fresh air vent. Checked heater pipework from front to back and located small problem of pipework hanging off near rear heat exchanger. Of c...

Re: Too much fresh air...
Cheers for the links and the advice - I'll be out tomorrow night with a child as "official torch/ light holder" I've got a strange engine set up, with the only blower currently operating being the engine fan. This used to recirculate in the engine bay, cooking the lovely rebuilt engine. As...

Re: Too much fresh air...
Thanks for that. I'll have a go tomorrow night when I've a bit more time. Will repost and let you know how I've got on. On a slightly different note, does anyone have an idea how to attach an inline fan to draw more warm air from the engine, or failing that, a blower attached to the engine/ tinware?...

Too much fresh air...
Hello folks. I have a 2l Aircooled devon conversion with a CJ engine fitted. As a result I don't have the greatest supply of hot air, but I do get some (no blower). The main problem is air blowing in from outside from various places behind the dashboard. The fresh air vent sliding control works i.e ...

Hi. I've got a RM122 as well (gas/12V only) and finally got it working on gas (fixed leaks etc.) and then tried again the other day with a new gas bottle just to check it and the thermometer was still showing 14°C, 24 hours later (after I'd forgotton to turn the gas off... TIMMY). Anybody got any id...

Hi, I have a CJ engine in my van at the moment. Please be aware that you won't have a great deal of hot air in the cab, you'll have to modify the system a bit and have a fan fitted. The air filter is also high and may knock on the engine cover. Be careful the hot air is removed from the engine bay a...
