Article on Syncro-Nutz

to: harry mann
They do great coffee as well-!!!
Their garage is very well equipped - they can fix everything and know where to find it - they got the boots for the drive couplings for mine in minutes and they can get the van up on the lift - so access is no problem even with a big hightop

VW Campervan magazine article on Syncro Nutz

For those who have not yet seen it, there is a very interesting article on SyncroNutz in the most recent issue of the VW Camper magazine- I can vouch for everything it says- Russell, Andy and Ian fixed my van last year and in December fitted a 1.9TD VW engine - going very well since - thanks muckamore

which diesel to buy

I just read the advice frompeasant- which I found invaluable and I would endorse everything he has said about he 1.6TD- Mine is a hightop and yes the 1.6TD isvery good but it is badly hit by the hills - on the level it can leep up ok and it will do long runs but on the hills and big 12% gradients it...

If you do not mind me asking - what did you do in the end with your engine issue- did you go for a replacement engine?

On my trip to norway i had the option of sleeping up in the High Top but as my roof vents developed a small leak I retreated dowmstairs and used for the first time the big camper bed - foldback seats etc - I had a very good sleep - in the cold of the evening one benefitted from the heat of the engin...

Speedometer for 1.6tdi LHD Joker Westfalia camper

My speedometer stopped working a few weeks ago- for no apparent reason. I managed to get the "lid or cover" off the two dials and after a lot of failed attempts managed to withdraw the speedo cable from the speedometer itself. Don't know know what to do next - is it difficult to replace th...

I have owned by van for 4 years now- it uses up oil- I keep monitoring it all the time - I have it down to a fine art- 160 miles from Coventry to lake district it will use up perhaps midway between min and max- I make sure it is always topped up one tip- check that it is not leaking oil at the turbo...

Oil Change

I would avoid using the engine flush - a mechanic in Leam told me it ws the worst thing to do - it will break all the seals and then you will lose a lot of oil.

Just get the oil changed and a new filter is all you need

high tops- opinions

Hi i have a high top westfalia- If you are looking for a camper I acknowldege the flexibility offered by the pop-up roof - however I have found that the fixed roof gives you great security. The fixed high top gives enormous storage possibilities and for sleeping in especially in high winds is very s...
