thinking of fitting an electric fuel pump

Hi all, I've had a few problems with standard mechanical fuel pumps (not lasting too long). I've replaced all the pipes and filter checked the carb etc, and was thinking of fitting an electric fuel pump. Has anyone done this and can they recommend it, also which one? the van is a 1984 petrol with a ...

petrol and temp gauge?

Hi all, for the last week i've noticed that the temp and petrol gauges are no longer working. The temp gauge is not working at-all and the petrol gauge reads half full when it's full and only works below there. the engine is a 2.1 but it's an early van (1984). Has anyone any idea what to look for, i...

Hi there, we noticed the side winds when we first got our van. The best thing we've done to combat this was to get a front spoiler and to lower the van, I don't know why the spoiler makes such a difference but it seems to do the trick although driving a van with these aerodynamics your always going ...

Soft clutch / difficult gears Query

Hiya, We're currently in France on hols in our van - and thank god for free internet access! :D Whilst driving, I've noticed the clutch getting 'soft' and then I struggle to get into gear (any gear). After driving only in 4th, we pulled over, rattled the gear stick, pressed the clutch a few times an...

my horn only works in certain positions and was told it's because on the back of the steering wheel there's a metal ring that completes the circuit and this has worn away in some places, could be the same thing :D
