Have the crank pulley 068 105 255F Have the pump pulley 068 145 255C Using the set up on a turbo'd 1Y engine 1. The alternator v belt slightly rubs the bottom cambelt cover 2. Have traced to the 50amp fuse in the lunch box, which was burnt out. I think this was maybe because a wiring junction was pressing against it. The dash light was coming on which threw me.

Aired this in the alternative engine forum but probably best here, Hi all Have an issue with the above. So whats the deal with the two rear doors on a rhd doka? I thought these were only spec'd on the tristar and all others had a single door?

Isn't there an adjusting screw like on a Golf, not looked at the T3 setup maybe it differs ? Sure is ! As you are looking at the pump from the back of the vehicle its at the bottom of the pump to the LHS. Not a whole lot of adjustment on it so you may need to take the bolt out to get your belt on. ...

Anyone happen to know the exact size of the window frame?
I have a caravelle slider and I'm going to have a go at cutting it down to fit in the doka. The slider measures 428mm high so need to know the width which I think will be somewhere in between 635 and 640mm.

Had the same issue on my old :cry: 1.9 petrol. One of the previous owners had changed the solenoid but the problem persisted when I took ownership. Got some good info from BY about cleaning all the earthing points starting with the starter motor- thoroughly clean the starter where it mounts to g/box...
