Re: Kitchen Cupboard Door Handles/Catches

Sorry but due to illness I'm unable to help out.
I'm just about to go into Rehab for three weeks after 2 major operations.

If you're still stuck in a month's time give me another shout.

Kev, I ran 5% bigger tyres on mine for a long time.
215/65r16 with a 3H box, it was a neat perfect setup.

Re: Cruise control instalation and alternative parts.

Hi Rascal,
Can you post a link to the Bus Freunde thread, I've tried searching for it but get no results.
I'll read through the original thread and see what I can glean from the info.

I'm loving this thread.
Cruise control is something that I've been yearning after for my GTi van.

It'll help with the 6 hour sprints across Germany.

Re: ADY hesitance and power loss.

Great news Kevin.
I have also experienced throttle body failure.
I now carry a spare one.

I love to see some photos of the exhaust set up, I really need to find a quieter solution.

Re: More economical welding gas

I bought a large bottle from my local DIY store, I don't know if can do that in the UK though.

It cost 200€ and a refill costs about 35 €. We did two vans on one fill.

Re: ADY hesitance and power loss.

Kev, you need to pair the throttle body with the ECU.  You can only do this with the paid for version of VCDS or by taking the van to a local garage and asking them to do it for you.  I can't remember if you can do it with OBD 11 or not.  It takes about 10 seconds once you have the engine up to temp...

Mine was 2,1 Tonne the last time I had it on a weigh bridge.

My Pritsche was only 1,9 Tonne.
