Where can I get one of these water thingys?!?
Hi all You may have seen my thread about Vals odd disco effect coolant light/needle problems:- clicky clicky lookie hearie Well earlier I replaced the dalek with a shiny new one and went for a 10 mile run. All was well no needle or light action BUT when I got back I could hear a hissing noise and fo...

Re: strange coolant problem stupid red light!
Is the rad getting hot all over? Does the temp gauge drop if you put the heating on full? After a 10 mile run (inc motorway) the rad seems warm all over, it wasnt that hot at all I could touch it quite happily - is that normal?? I did try the heater before the red light incident and the funny thing...

Re: strange coolant problem stupid red light!
a short circuit across the gauge due to faulty connections at the coolant sender will also cause the LED to flash and the gauge to swing hard over to the right. Suspicious that it did this at start up so I would check the wiring at the sender connection for starters, the module 43 could cause this ...

Re: strange coolant problem stupid red light!
Did your rad fan come on when the gauge went to the right? As we were driving at the time I'm not sure, but on our previous trip when we arrived home and turned off the engine I could clearly hear the fan going so I think it's working. it could be a bad temp sender, bad wiring from the temp sender ...

strange coolant problem stupid red light!
About 4 or 5 months ago Val (1.6 non turbo diesel - 1982) developed a strange fault. From a cold start upon turning the key the coolant light would flash as it should and then go out. About a mile later the light would start flashing again and the temp gauge would shoot up to maximum, then within 20...

Electrickery type stuff and gas Warning girlie question
Hi all I have a leisure drive conversion and am in the process of putting a better battery in (a 110ah to be precise) I think everything at the moment is in its original leisuredrive state. I have the old battery and water container in one compartment under the rear seat, with the gas bottle in a co...

Re: leisure battery
I bought a 110ah leisure battery from Shropshire Battery Services at camperjam it only cost £65 which I thought was a good price. I can heartily recommend them, they were so helpful, probably one of the most genuine traders I have ever met :D :D I know that they are doing most shows - they are defin...

Re: drive away awning
We've just bought a Nomad 3 and think it's great, see Earls post - Nomad 3 for a bit of a review https://club8090.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?f=10&t=55275" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; We did consider a Khyam, but we really didn't like the fact that we had to duck under ...
Re: Nomad 3
We bought one about a month ago, and have to say we really like it. The little window at the top lets in loads of light. The two flyscreen door's either side are good but it would have been nice to have the same on the front door. The awning does not come supplied with a connection system. we've bou...

Re: Is this a standard T25 engine?
We also have the 1.6NA engine, which after a motorbike really does take some geting used to. We've considered upgrading and would love a scooby engine, but when I've spoken to people about how much this costs I just can't justify it (yet!!!) Do you mind if I ask you roughly how much it will cost to ...

Re: How to make a regular tent driveaway ?
What a great idea, but is there any way to do it without having to sew something onto the tent? We currently have an excellent Outwell "Montana" tent, we we're going to buy a new driveaway awning but this could be the perfect solution. We really don't want to sew anything on incase we deci...

I can't say I've ever heard that before. We were looking into taking Sophie to France next year, I know the pet passport takes quite a while to sort out, I think the rabies vaccine has to be done 6 months in advance. Not really sure if it is worth it, as much as we love Sophie it would restrict us. ...

I'd certainly be interested, I'd like to have a go at replacing vals interior next year and probably will try and design something myself, but it's always good to see other ideas first - don't really want to screw it up
