Anyway, thought I would share some of my highlands and islands photos - started uploading some just now. http://www.flickr.com//photos/44309024@N03/sets/72157630584711006/show/ Fantastic photos! Any tips/co-ordinates for sleepy spots? Cheers Caro...

Re: Highlands & islands
Well that's the first leg of the ferry booked - from Ullapool to Stornoway 10.25am on Monday 6 August. We're trying to book a trip out to St Kilda with SeaHarris - we'll be in the area for 5-6 days so hopefully it will be fit to go on one of them. Hoping to meet up with Little Miss Sunshine in Harri...

Anyone else on the same trail at the same time? PM me your mobile number - I'm sure we could set up an 80-90 meet!

Re: Highlands & islands
Hi Martin. Plan so far is that we are staying at Bamburgh (3 Aug); Loch Tay (4 August); Port A Bhaig near Ullapool (5 August, and possibly 6th). Over to Stornoway from Ullapool and then about 10-12 nights just bimbling around Harris, Lewis, Skye, Berneray, North Uist, South Uist, Barra and back to O...

Re: s w coastal walk cornwall
There's a really nice Camping & Caravanning Club site at Sennen - excellent facilities as you would expect. There are also a couple of other sites just off the A30 before Sennen and although I haven't tried them, they look nice. Hope this helps

Re: Wild camping near North Berwick
Cheers for that Dave. Bloody typical! Ah well, back to the drawing board. As the comments from the motor homers - don't think I want to go there any more now anyway. I'll spend my money elsewhere!
Why are these places so short sighted! Shame

Re: Switzerland - Paris (somewhere nice halfway?
Fabulous campsite just outside Interlaken - Camping du Lac at Iseltwald. On the way back, we stopped at Lac du der Chantecoq near St Dizier. There is a campsite but also plenty of wild camping there too. Lovely beach which your 2 year old would love, and a shallow lake to paddle/swim in. Have a good...

Re: Troyes camping
Lac du Der Chantecoq at St Dizier - bit north of Troyes but as well as a reasonable campsite, it is an aire on the side of the lake - loads of room, mostly hard standing and free. You can swim in the lake (there is a man made beach) and cycle round it too. Nice place

Re: Highlands & islands
Just thinking - which is the best ferry route to take and the best ticket to get? There seem to be a selection of Hopscotch tickets but does anyone know if there is an Island hopper which gives you x number of ferry trips and you can please yourself as far as the route goes?

Wow - thanks everyone! I think I'm almost persuaded! Will maybe pm a few of you for more details once we've worked out a route etc.
