manufacturers instructions override ALL ,theory's ,superstitions,guesses ,opinions, science ,and newtons law ....Fact ! follow manufacturers instructions on where to locate co detectors !!!! :) My Advise as always is to ensure ALL ,gas appliances checked by a qualified engineer ,at least once a year...

once set right these motors are super tough, the faster you go the more air gets pumped , its not revs that kill em its labouring in top when you should be down a gear!! mixture and timing are crucial, i found (on a rolling road) my stock solex carbs were running far too lean at the top end, so had...

catch tanks preferable but not needed , ,it's only oil vapour ! just as long as it's open and not likely to come in contact with the hot exhaust !

Its been discussed at length do a search here and on the brickyard ,in my experance it a good move to lower your van 45mm drops the norm there are factory buses lowered 30 mm i have both 60mm and an 80mm lowerd buses and i have no issues with them at all overall a big improvement on handling and cro...

£ to miles isnt really a very good way to monitor, as the price varies so much and keeps going up.. L you put in and distance is far more meaningfull.. Funnily enough my syncro doka has just been driven 7000+ KM since mid July... and generally motorway at a consant 3600-4000 rp; for hours at a time...

I realy dissagree Bob .............AC vw engines are built for a long hard(ish ) life ,vw in there wisdom built an AC engine for the reliabilty its well known that an AC type 4 (cu)engine is a verry strong base to build a performance engine from you only have to look at the way vw german tuning has ...

b realy carefull as as far as i know you will have some clearance issues with 19 's 1 other van i know of with 19s on had loads of probs with ofset and rubbing it took boddy mods (roll the arches) and some big spacers to get em in , pcd for t3/t25 112 offset 35 ,if the wheels are thick then youl nee...
