Re: Hydraulic Power Steering pressure
I’ve bought an electric hydraulic power steering pump from a Zafira/Astra on eBay. Just haven’t gotten round to measuring up what connectors I need for the hoses yet. Need to locate my callipers.PeteandNikki wrote:Have you got any further with this project ?

Hydraulic Power Steering pressure
The Bentley manual says the power steering pump should be putting out 115-120 bar pressure. Would the rack operate correctly at only 110 bar? I’m retrofitting hydraulic PAS and want to use an electrohydraulic steering pump situated right next to the rack instead of a mechanical pump on the engine. H...

Re: New tyres up to 3 years old.
Asda is actually a different model. Other internet suppliers the fitters just get the fitting fee.
Asda tyres, the garage gets the internet generated sale.
The asda tyres website is run by the tyre wholesaler who the garage have to get the tyres from. (Often the garages usual wholesalers anyway)

Re: Flywheel timing mark confusion
Thanks Aidan. That seems to make sense and you've reassured me with the info about the flywheel and clutch cover only fitting one way. It would appear that the cam and pump (which are in time with each other) are about 3 or 4 notches on the belt away from the flywheel timing. It always did sound lik...

Flywheel timing mark confusion
1.9 diesel normally aspirated engine using the original flywheel and clutch from the 1.6D cs that I took out. I can't see any marks on the actual flywheel but it does have a raised metal edge bolted on? Not sure if that's part of the clutch housing or not. Anyway, this does have timing marks on, but...

Screwdriver bit in a cordless drill in the hole in the back for the cable
Would possibly be the way to do it.
Technically you're not changing the mileage on the vehicle.
You're setting a spare part to match the vehicle before its ever been fitted

Get non-insulated ones from here

Solder to your hearts content
And use the separate insulation sleeves on the same page

Thank you for all the suggestions. I will be implementing some as security measures (particularly those sent via pm).
