Camper Exterior Parts Sealant

Hi,

Just started to prep our camper for some painting and removed fridge vents etc. All the gooey stuff
that seals them has perished over the years. Can anyone recommend what sort of sealant
I should use to replace this please?

Cheers

Re: Gearbox Problem

Thanks for the posts, I may be in touch with Aidan
soon - still waiting to see what the verdict is from the garage.
They reckon it is the box and not the linkage, but someone else has told
me it's very rare for a box to fail so we'll have to see.

thanks

Gearbox Problem

Hi, Any thoughts on our sick van :( would be really appreciated please? It broke down a week ago with a crunching of gears and ended up getting taken to the nearest VW garage (in Wantage) as it wouldn't start at all. It's already had a new starter motor fitted just to get it going. They're now sayin...

DOH I see what you mean now! Mis-read that one.
Thanks again! I was a bit surprised that kwik-fit would be cheaper.

Any HELP PLEASE - Cylinder Head Exhaust Bolts Broken

Oh bugger we've taken our van to have a complete new exhaust fitted and have been told ALL the bolt heads going into the cylinder head have snapped off. The garage are going to try and get them out with a stud remover in the morning. I know there is a risk that the threads will strip when they do th...

Painting wheel hubs

Hello Is anyone able to recommend how I can quickly paint my wheel hubs a nice chrome colour to match my VW hub caps? They're a combination of black and rust at the moment! Is it just a case of a bit of sanding and spray paint? Or maybe I should buy new wheels. I think I'll buy alloys eventually whe...

Thanks for all the ideas. Grandparents are too far away sadly! We went for putting her behind the R and R seat last night but ended up bringing her in bed with us when she woke up later. It was a bit crammed with three of us in the bed, she's going in the high top next time! I think she's a bit litt...
