Re: Reverse Light Housing

Success, all out very easily, including the sheared thread. There was no paper gasket, just an o seal and a load of Hylomar.
it will go back together properly.
Thanks For the help👍

Re: Reverse Light Housing

with the later gearboxes with the reverse switch held in the removable cover (M7, 11mm head machine screws with integral washers) the cover is easy to remove, be aware there is a big spring acting on the selector shaft which is a press fit in a groove on the inside of the cover, just make sure you ...

Reverse Light Housing

Evening All, it seems that every job that I do is awkward on this van lol. Today’s issue started with an attempt to adjust the reverse light switch. Without having to put a great deal of torque into it, the thing sheared!! My question is - Is it easy to just whip of the housing, use an ‘Easy Out’ or...

This is a pretty decent respository for Subaru (and a whole ton of other Jap) manuals/wiring:  https://www.jdmfsm.info/Auto/

Oh cool, useful to know!
Not sure, it’s a phase 1 and probably an early Impreza. Just know it’s a G3 ECU.

EJ20E Lambda Wiring.

Hi All, I was looking for some advice, if possible. I have a VW T3 van and it has an EJ20e fitted. It also has an LPG system that I am unlikely to use. Unfortunately the lambda sensor wires have snapped off but I think it was wired into the LPG system. I am looking to replace the lambda and wire bac...

Gear Shift Overhaul

Hi All, I am currently getting some improvement jobs planned over the winter. The first one will be a full overhaul of the gear selector and linkages. Like many others, the gear change is terrible but the box is good. I am looking to see what parts I will need, if somebody could kindly offer a list ...

Re: Welding and panel working tools

www.mig-welding.co.uk is a hive of information. Lots of info on paint as well.
As people say, get some thin plate and practice. Stitch weld it in, to prevent blow through and distortion. Get it to shiny metal. 1mm thick slitting discs are brilliant.

Yeah, just seems like an unusual window choice, which I haven’t seen before.

Stesaw wrote: 15 Sep 2024, 20:51 Probably the 1mm x 3mm stuff. When you take the old one out just measure the two gaps and the web for the closest one.
Will do.
I haven’t seen this type of door before tbh, all others seem to have different windows?

Probably a standard claytonrite type
Yeah, probably best that I just measure it up and see what they have. Worst case, I could splice something similar.

There will come a time when I need to replace seals etc. so was looking to see if anybody could give me more info. Here it is: https://i.imgur.com/5KpmxcZ.jpeg an...
