Re: Dashboard LED for indicators

ok, so not lookinglike there is any power at the bulb holder.

Pretty sure i've spotted the resistor (it's got lots of coloured stripes). How do I go about taking this out/replacing it?

Dashboard LED for indicators

I've recently failed an MOT because the led on the dashboard that flashes when the idicators are on is broken. I replaced the LED but this didn't do the trick :( I've also tested both the old and new LED to check they are ok, and they both work. So what should my next step be? I'm a little worried t...

Re: Headlight adjustment and indicator light on dashboard

Thanks for that, I was a bit put out that they didn't just adjust the headlight for me, but sound like I can do it myself ok in time for the free retest.

Headlight adjustment and indicator light on dashboard

Hi, Failed an MOT today on two points - one headlight is pointing too low, and the indicator light on the dashboard does not work. I'm hoping these will be easy fixes that I can do in time for next weekend. Any advice on how to tackle these? If I need to give some more info, let me know! Cheers, Mar...

Garage Recommendation nr. Reading?

Hi folks,

I've just moved to Reading and could do with finding a good reliable garage that will be able to deal with my van. 1987 T25 1.6td. It will need an MOT in a months time or so.

Any suggestions welcome

Re: Moving a van with the rear wheels locked?

OK so I managed it! Couldn't get it out of gear by shoving it around and don't have any tools at my parents, so... By starting the van and bringing up the clutch it stalls and jumps forward, so I jumped it forward onto some bricks (took a few goes), then the tow man was able to slide his trucks lift...

Re: Need a garage in S. Manchester/Cheshire URGENT

Thanks Aiden, i've managed to get a space outside my parents place to move to van into, then I can go back to work in Bristol and start contacting people regarding getting it looked at and sorted in a more relaxed manner.

It's a 5-speed by the way.

cheers, Martin

Moving a van with the rear wheels locked?

You may have seen my other post ( https://club8090.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=44780 ) but basically my van has ended up broken down with the rear wheels locked in a bad position on my parents road. If I was able to manouver the vehical somehow so that it was better positioned then I could n...

Re: Need a garage in S. Manchester/Cheshire URGENT

You'd do worse than check your gearbox code out, or post your engine size and vehicle type/year in case someone has a gbox up for grabs Well I don't know the gearbox code (where is it?). But it's a 1.6td in an '87 T25 Panel Van. The van can't stay where it is at the moment so looking to have it tak...

Need a garage in S. Manchester/Cheshire URGENT

I broke down on xmas day a few miles from my parents house. Got myself towed there but now need to get sorted but have no knowledge of garages in the area (I live in Bristol). Basically the gearbox/clutch has gone leaving the rear wheels locked and oil going everywhere. I'm not technically able enou...

Dash Board LED's Playing-Up

I don't often drive at night but was forced to at the weekend and noticed some odd goings on when the headlights are on. Firstly all the lights work no problems - sidelights, headlights, foglights, full-beam. It is the LED's on the dash which choose to turn on for no aparent reason. For example the ...

Water Pump Belt (1.6td)

My water pump belt wore away and snapped over the weekend (my fault for not checking up on it). I was stranded in Sheffield and needed to get to Bristol so managed to find a Halfords and get a belt. T he belt that came off was 10x643 (which I think is the correct size) but the nearest size that I co...
