The wing nut to adjust the peddle play has both wings snapped off. If i cut the cable, will this make it easier to remove the nut? Or can anyone think of a better way to go about this??

thanks for your help, have now sorted it, twas just a loose wire.

Yes, they worked fine. Then i put a bigger sound system in, accicidently touched the metal dash with a live wire then they stopped.

... have stopped working, no fuses blown, is there an inline fuse? and where is it? its an 1981 if this makes any difference.
