Front Jacking Point advice needed

Hi there, just wondered if anyone could advise me, my front drivers side (RHD) jacking point is quite rusty, to the point where I put a jack in it to jack it up and the jack went up and the van stayed put.

Is this an MOT failure?

Many thanks.

Just thought I'd put an update on this post. The bolt in question is a crankcase bolt and sits between the pushrods on the passenger side. I managed to get the bolt out, standard M8 bolt which I replaced as the thread had been stripped. Put the new bolt in but lost the thread again and doesn't tight...

I don't know, where should the low pressure oil sender be?

The other weird thing is I have to use a 13mm socket, I thought all these bolts were imperial.

With the magic of a mirror and a torch I have located my oil leak is coming from here. The bolt is pi**ing oil out big time, anybody else experienced this? I've tried tightening ...

OK thanks everyone. It definitely makes sense to get the clutch done while the engine is out.
Cheers.

Am I being ripped off?

Hi there wondering if anyone can give me some guidance. I have quite a bad oil leak, 2ft x 1ft patch after one night. I've had a mechanic look at it and he says that the push rod seals and the crank shaft seal need replacing and quoted me 300 quid to do it. He was saying that he has to take the engi...

CV Joint

Hi there, been having a knocking sound from the back o/s only does it when accelerating and using the gears to slow down so can only assume it's a cv joint. I'm planning to do this myself but I have a few question to anyone that has done it before. I have quite a high curb here so with one wheel on ...

Just got a Pure Highway. i've been waiting for years for a DAB radio in the car and reviews have never been that good, or the price of the unit was just too much to justify listening to XFM or radio 5. Pure Highway came out last month, and as Pure have a very good reputation for quality decoders I b...

Just fitted a pair of saab's to my T25 today, I'd say it took three hours in total, icluding getting the bolts etc. Followed the wiki instructions, really is quite straight forward. They are the business too, really comfortable. I only have cloth ones, did think about leather but thinking of europe ...

Cheers everyone, I think I'm going to go high top. From reading alot of the posts on the forum, sounds perfect especially when you have to squeeze five people in the bus. funbus3 did you have to pick the roof up yourself or did they arrange delivery? Also did you glue it down, or screw it, or both? ...
