Coolent temperate sensor
Hi, I have a 1988 1.9DG WBX. I'm trying to diagnose a problem with the temperature gauge. The gauge works fine plugging a test resistance into module 43 socket, but I now want to test it right back at the sensor to check the wiring is ok. I just cant get the connector off the temperature sensor, whi...

Dual Fuel 1.9 DG runs great on LPG but not petrol
Hi, I have a 1985 1.9DG engined WBX. When I first purchased her, she ran absolutely fine on petrol, but on more than one occasion when taking the van to get some work done, the van seems to lose all power, stalls at junctions and roundabouts, sometimes refusing to re-start. Depressing the throttle a...

Split charge relay on 1983 Trident
Hi everyone, I want to fit a split charge relay on my 1988 T25 autosleeper Trident, so I need to run a wire from the van battery under the drivers seat to the leisure battery under the passenger seat. There seems to be a channel for wires on the left hand side of the vehicle battery bay. I've pulled...

Re: 1988 Trident split charge relay location
Hi Mick, That's a generous offer, but unfortunately I'm down in the midlands near to Leicester. I have found a relay behind the control panel (CP4) which I think is for the fridge. I now suspect that the slit charge relay for the leisure battery is elsewhere. If I can't find it, I'm just going to fi...

Re: 1988 Trident split charge relay location
Thanks for your help! On reflection, there aren't enough connections to the leisure battery positive, so it looks like it's not fitted with a separate relay. The fridge seems to be disconnected, there is twin core wire heading in the right direction, so I'm guessing its the fridge. The quest continu...

1988 Trident split charge relay location
Hi, I am now a very new and proud owner of a 1988 VW T25 Trident Hi Top autosleeper. The van didn't come with a leisure battery, although all the wiring was there to fit one. I have now connected a new Leisure battery and all the internal lights, water pump and fridge ignition circuits now work. The...
