Re: Rev counter
Very good to know - thank you! Put the rev counter on today - seems to do what it needs, just looks a bit ‘Halfords bling’ though On an otherwise big standard (the way I prefer) van- but at least I can make sure I’m treating her correctly now. Fortunately my 1987 did have the coil feed to the dash -...

Rev counter
Looking to fit a rev counter (bolt on) simply as new to vw (especially of this era) - is there a signal I can take anywhere near the dash (as many were fitted with rev counters) or do I need to run a wire all the way back to the coil? Mine is a 1987 1.9 dg wbx Also - interested to hear what revs I s...

Fuel gauge
Hi all - fuel gauge isn’t working - if I brim the tank the gauge will briefly show full , but then drop back to empty within about 30 minutes of use - I am assuming that this will be the sender rather than voltage stabiliser?

Intake hoses
Hi guys ~ sorry to be a nuisance as a newbie - recently bought the t25 and I obviously have a hose missing from the offside rear air vent to the air intake for the carb, but I also have two very perished aluminium hoses that I’m trying to diagnose around the exhaust system on on the offside - any pi...

Re: Engine bay wiring not connected to anything
I do have a brown wire that’s grounded - removing it makes no difference to the oil light (ignition lights on but not running). I’ve also checked the switch - no continuity when not running - it’s blue and have a new one on the way - I’m hoping to find it bypassed somewhere so I can reinstate!

Re: Engine bay wiring not connected to anything
Thanks for the reply - will take another look tomorrow to double check I don’t have the second switch - certainly haven’t had any buzzer going off so will double check it wasn’t bypassed with the engine swap - light only flashes for a second when the ignition lights are switched on - goes off immedi...

Re: Engine bay wiring not connected to anything
Reading through other posts on here I am wondering if I have an earlier single switch engine fitted to a van that should have a two switch system - so I assume the brown wire needs to go to either the yellow or the blue/black. When I switch the ignition on the oil light flicks on for a second then g...
